Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava Swami Devastanam is a historic Hindu temple and pilgrimage center situated in Markapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. Architecturally, the complex showcases classic Vijayanagara style with a grand 135-foot Galigopuram visible from kilometers away. A 40-pillared mandapam features finely carved images of deities including Krishna, Anjaneya, and Maha Lakshmi. Notably, the sanctum’s alignment allows the first rays of the morning sun (mid-December to mid-January) to illuminate the deity’s feet, an event attracting thousands of devotees each year.
